Management suggestions for the three month agenda:
1. How do we deliberate? (human alienization, political parties, constitutional reform, Can we move to a new political level peacefully?) Speaker(s): to be confirmed

1. Environment and sustainability. Speaker(s): to be confirmed
(Carbon offset, ESG, has no positive effect, profiting the polluters, while stealing land and destroying livelihoods of local communities in global south. It’s a large green laundry machine facilitating main polluters cashing in from both ends. World Bank is neck deep involved in the scam.)

2. Cost of living (social justice)
2.a. Housing
2.b. Health care
2.c. Groceries
2.d. Stop war
3. Opposing data center construction internationally. Speaker(s): to be confirmed

3. Deliberating AI for good and AI for bad
3.a. AI for good: e.g., collecting data for scientific research and improving
accessibility to existing information for the global south
3.b. AI for bad: e.g., collecting private data on behaviour (to manipulate public
opinion, advertising, the press and all media), spying on people’s private
conversations and personal life.
3.c. Professionally AI is not capable of being creative or providing solutions of its
own. Most AI is used to steal professionally created content, merging it with
stolen IP.

Discuss possible counter solutions:
Quantum résistant VPNs, etc.

Result distribution for all three sessions: DiEM25 site as an Opinion piece, author name author name to be decided. Including distribution in social media by DiEM comms.

Goal in all three sessions: Our DDC practice panel (jury) consists of 50% subject matter experts and 50% ordinary people. The group works over 6-8 weeks to research and deliberate.

In some cases, our panel may write a brief petition to be delivered to a relevant public official. Depending on how the petition is received, the panel will plan for future action.

Call for DDC practice panel (jury) volunteers!
If you are subject matter expert in any/ or all 3 topics, please drop us an email or add your name to the list (here: https://pad.riseup.net/p/fd8d19p2aFU40ZEGAhYE) or email [email protected] if you don’t wish to publish your name and contact details. Indicate your gender, age, geographic location, profession, or expertise. This information enables us to select a cohort that varies along the these identity dimensions so the group is as representative as possible of the population.
