Eyes of Gaza (2024), directed by Mahmoud Atassi, is an urgent documentary that follows the lives of three Palestinian journalists in northern Gaza as they risk their lives for their work. It tells the story of a mission that often comes before personal safety. So far, at least 108 journalists and other reporters have been killed during the war in Gaza. The journalistic message must be told, now and everywhere. 

We will be screening this documentary in an attempt to shed light on the perilous conditions of life in Gaza, captured by journalists who are themselves living through genocide. Given the current silence of corporate Western media and Western governments’ response to the ongoing genocide, bringing stories from Gaza to the public is more urgent than ever. 

The screening will be followed by a live Q&A with director Mahmoud Atassi, and it will take place at Filmhuis Cavia, in Amsterdam, on September 11th, 2025, at 20:30.  

Tickets are €5 at the door, and Cineville cards are also valid. The bar and box office will be open from 19:30. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve in advance, so please come as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
